In 1958, the M-72 motorcycle engine was successfully trial-produced.
In 1984, 125 two-wheeled of The South Motorcycle was independently developed.
In 1991, 125 of the South Motorcycle became the only designated motorcycle in the 11th Asian Games.
In 1997, The South Motorcycle was included in the "most competitive National Brand lineup".
